CELL PHONE, EAR BUD AND BLUETOOTH SPEAKER POLICY

When can I use my cell phone at Milagro Middle School?


• Before school: 
The school day begins at 8:40 am. At 8:35 am students will turn off phones and store in their backpack with any listening apparatus such as earbuds, earphones, and any other device that falls into this category.

• During Lunch: This includes in the cafeteria, in the mall, on the way to field and out on the field.
If in the library during this time, you must follow the librarians rules for cell phone use.

• After School: Students will be able to use their phones once they are dismissed from class at 3:40 pm.

Can I use my phone in the classroom during instruction?

• Every classroom teacher will have their own cell phone use policy that applies specifically to their classroom. This will look different in every classroom. This policy allows the teacher to determine how technology is to be used to best meet the needs of their instruction.

Can I use my phone during passing period?  

• NO.

Phones are to be in backpacks during passing period along with any listening devices. 

• All phones and earbuds will be in the students backpacks.

Can I use my earbuds or earphones during the three times listed above?

• YES, during before school time, during lunch, and after school.

Can I bring my Bluetooth speaker or a similar type of speaker to school?

• NO.
