Milagro students who were enrolled in the high school credit Algebra class this year prepared for and then took their end of course exam. The group’s hard work paid off with 81% of the enrolled students passing. Mr. Pacheco took his students to the Bradbury Science Museum where they learned about the Manhattan Project. More specifically, they learned the different ways of getting messages across without the message getting into the wrong hands. The kids got to work on cracking a code with an enigma, played battleship using Morse Code and explored all the museum had to offer. They ate lunch at the park and then ended the trip at the Los Alamos History Museum.

Milagro held its first 8th Grade Sports Awards Banquet to honor all the amazing athletes who have represented Milagro with class during their time in Middle School. Ms. Greig (our Assistant Principal and Athletic Director) handed out the top awards. Did you know that 70 8th graders participated in our program this year, WOW! She also thanked our wonderful coaches - Ed Romero, Damon Laemmle, Steve Anaya, Tammy Anaya, Marissa Koroneos, Mary Trujillo, Nanci Pretzer, and Jorge Villegas for all the contributions they have made to Milagro sports! A big thank you to our PTO for sponsoring the event, and to Diana Padilla (Community Schools) and Georgia Baca (Principal) for all their hard work to cook and set up the cafeteria. All the best to our 8th grade athletes as they move into high school - we are so proud of you all!
